The one hour a week that changes your reach

Consistency on social doesn’t require living inside the apps. It requires one focused hour a week, spent in the right order. Founders who grow rarely post more than everyone else — they just make the hour count and never skip it.

Here’s an hour that produces a full week.

The hour

  • 0–10 min — read last week. Open your numbers. What earned saves, what fell flat, what slot won. Write down one thing to do more of and one to stop.
  • 10–25 min — plan the week. Turn that into five to seven posts. You’re not writing yet, just deciding angles: the hook, the format, the channel.
  • 25–50 min — draft. Generate first drafts in your voice, then edit. Fix the hook, cut a line, swap a CTA. Don’t polish what you’ll never publish — kill weak ideas fast.
  • 50–58 min — approve and schedule. Send the week for one approval. Set the times. Let publishing handle the rest.
  • 58–60 min — one reply. Answer the best comment or DM from last week. Distribution is a conversation, not a broadcast.

Why order matters

Most people start at “draft” with a blank page and burn the hour on the hardest step first. Reading the data and planning takes fifteen minutes and makes the drafting trivial, because you’re no longer deciding what to say while also saying it.

Protect the hour like a meeting. The brands that never go quiet aren’t the most creative — they’re the most consistent, and consistency is a scheduling decision.
